A Trip To Amsterdam

No we didn't get high and used lots of stuff. We just went out for the weekend and stayed at lucky lake hostel. It was al while ago but the memories are still in good shape floating trough my head.

Lucky Lake Hostel is a sort of little camping near a lake. We did not visited the lake because we were too busy walking around in the city. The first day we crossed the streets and ended up by a little shop that bought antique pots and pans and all kind of cute little spoons. As we were sneeking trough the windows our eyes catched the most funny picture of all times! Because of the reflection of the window you cant't see it clearly but here's the picture!

Probably the owner of this cute little shop?

So I decided to go into the shop and took a better look at the man sitting behind the old desk with a brand new laptop. As I looked very good at hid looks apparently my mouth asked if I may look around in here.
''Yes'' said the old grumpy man. Hm his looks were definitely the same but his spirit was'nt the same anymore. Or he is a man which moods move along with the weather. Because it was terribly raining at that moment. So my boy joined this little shop too and as he was looking at the spoons i was taking pictures of all the things we liked.

Ofcourse we went looking for hidden vintage shops and the more we walked the more we got lost. But also lost in vintage world. It's sad that Holland doesn't have those old second hand shops where you still can find pretty pieces. But I have to admit that it's maybe more greater when you really find something good!

Feather Light Experience - Vintage & More

Recently everything looks like a dream to me and I want to make everything pretty though I have some money problems.
I thought about a combination and I ended up making little notebooks.

Soon you can pick one out at www.symphony-bell.blogspot.com they are all different from each other!

Everyone around me knows my style switches as fast like lightnings and some thunderstorms. A few styles were so boring, that I was fed up with it within a month, so some clothings have never been worn by me.
At last I have some jewellery I have never worn.

So those are the things you can already buy and I'm going to search for pretty clothing en cute thingys for you in every kind of city in Holland, at least, I'll try, okay? :D

This month I bought such nice shoes from the second hand shop, in my own town!

Here are some picture of what you can expect from the agenda's, a picture of my shoes and who wants to buy a lefty acoustic guitar or a pretty cool green bag?

The beginning of post-rock

Hi all!

I'm sitting here now chilling out on an album I bought recently...

One of my favorite musical genres is post-rock. This genre is very alive these days, but when it comes to picking out the beginning of it, it gets kinda blurry. The album I'm listening to right now is considered the first post-rock album. It's called 'Spirit of Eden' and it's brought to you by Talk Talk. Below you'll find one of the songs of this album

Now I hear you thinking, Talk Talk, where have I heard this name before? Well, you know the eighties pop-songs 'It's my Life' and 'Such a Shame'? Hard to believe, but they're theirs. Oh I love sudden style changes...

One of the places I work at

Hey you!

I hope you do just fine. I'm great, though some things were very tough for me this past weeks like accidentally breaking a car window, (!?) I recieved some great news.

The objects what I'm learning at this study right now is to hard for me and I was forced to choose an other education. It was sadly but true. My maybe-future tutor promised us she told the Big News this week and she did!
When my phone was ringing, I was so nervous, friend, you can't imagine.
But luckly she told me I was accepted.

Some other great news is that I now work at a cute little restaunt ánd the beach. The cute little eating-house is called De Open Keuken, which means, the open kitchen. I'm helping them for almost a year now. But again, I was forced to search for more work, cause of the seasons. The name of the Beachhouse is called Het Strandhuis, which means, the Beachhouse... haha

The Open Kitchen has such cute little objects like old pots and paintings. That's one of the things why I work at that place, the people who come there are mostly friendly to you and don't nag about the time, money and quality of the food. Ofcourse my colleagues are so nice and funny. (:

Here are some nice pictures of The Open Kitchen

The Pinkpop Highlight

Goodday!
Last weekend was the weekend of Pinkpop festival, the biggest festival in Holland. Although Pinkpop is big and succesfull, the line-up dissappoints me more each year. This year, there was only one band on the program that I wanted to see, and I wanted to see them very much, since I also missed their last gig in Holland. The band I'm talking about is the Pixies. I don't think they need any introduction. Here's a video of them playing their classic 'Where is my Mind?' on Pinkpop 2010.

Ye Old Style

Indeed my boy, Sleepy Sun music is beautiful. I'm getting addicted to them and I haven't been a fan for more than one week!

I want to tell you what happend with me recently, I walked into my room and it was such a mess. Clothes were taking a nap all over the place and I was sick of it, the walls of my room have the most beautifull sunny yellow color you could ever image. It's so old but still so sweet and fresh at the same time, love those differents.
But my nice pappie made an own on improvised desk for me, how sweet it was of him, it just wasn't my style so after a few months of thinking if I should take down the whole thing I finally did it next week.

My grandma had this cute little tables, with dark-pink-ish tilings and handmade table legs and she didn't had room for them anymore in her new home, so I was the lucky one who had the permission to take them home.

But.. I didn't hade room for them too, so that was the main reason why I needed to take down my pa's ''artwork'' and now I can't stop looking around in my room and it makes me wish that I had the money to buy a very very good camera...

Talking about camera's, Sito said that his mom had a camera, a very good one. He thought if he just asked where it was I maybe could use it for important days. Unfortunately she didn't remember anymore whe she had put it away and if it still was in good shape, so that means; searching in every corner of the home and let it fix, hopefully that won't take too much time and money!

But for now I need to be happy with my other little digital camera.

Love, Bella
